Stage Rental On A Budget | Portable Stage Rental Prices

(Updated March 2026)

Production Management One builds and delivers staging for events that can't afford to get it wrong. Concert tours, political rallies, product launches, corporate keynotes, commencements, festivals — if it needs a stage, we've probably already built one like it.

We own one of the largest inventories of stage decks and understructure in the country. That means we're extremely competitive on large-scale staging nationwide, and on smaller builds (40×60 and under) within 150–200 miles of our Detroit, Orlando, and DC locations.

Two ways to work with us:

  • Dry rental — you pick up, you return. Built for production companies and industry partners who have their own crews.
  • Turnkey — we deliver, install, and strike. Full service, full accountability.

We also handle multi-city tours and full production packages with lights, sound, video, and livestreaming when you need one team running the whole show.

What We Build

  • Graduation stages (with ADA ramps or lifts)
  • Automobile stages (with load-rated ramps and turntables)
  • Entertainment stages (with integrated loading docks)
  • Mobile stages (StageLine SL50, SL100, SL260, SL320, and the large-format SAM series)
  • Fashion show runways (including light-up acrylic deck options)
  • Corporate stages (spanning full convention halls or ballrooms)
  • LED wall support stages (indoor and outdoor rated)
  • Heavy-load stages (vehicle-rated, ice rink builds, specialty applications)
  • Curved and round stages (scenic builds — rent the shape, don't fabricate it)

Pro Tips for Keeping Your Stage Rental on Budget

Schedule smart. We're a 24/7 operation, but labor rates go up for a 3 AM install or an 11 PM strike. Keep your load-in and load-out during business hours and you'll save real money.

Right-size the stage. This is the single most common mistake we see — someone books a stage that's wrong for the event because they were guessing at dimensions. A DJ platform doesn't need to fill the room. A panel with 20+ speakers needs more real estate than you think. Tell us the use case and we'll send you a layout showing exactly how it fits your space. Easier to adjust on paper than on site.

Book early. Some jurisdictions require 60-day notice to local building and fire departments. Give yourself at least 90 days of lead time and you'll avoid rush charges and permitting scrambles.

Book direct. Some production companies and venues add serious value by managing logistics end to end — and their markup reflects that. Others just pass the invoice through with a 10–50% markup and leave you handling every detail yourself. If you want to cut that layer out, we work directly with end clients every day.

Decking Options and Accessories

Our StageRight stage decks come in multiple surface finishes — grey carpet, black textured fiberglass, or multi-purpose plywood — with leg support systems from "sitting on wood pads" to higher that you'd probably think.

  • Steps and stairs
  • Handrails and guard rails
  • Pleated skirting
  • Access ramps
  • ADA-compliant ramps and lifts

Let's Talk Numbers

On a tight budget? Say so up front. Give us a price range and we'll build options around it — not the other way around. PM1 has affordable rental packages for events at every scale.
