PM1 runs live event production and staging for DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia from its shop in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Audio, video, lighting, show calling, stages, and seating, built for the National Mall, the federal halls, and the ballrooms where the city's biggest programs run.

The DC crew works from Gaithersburg, about 25 miles up I-270 from the Mall. It runs PM1's live event production for the region: audio, lighting, video, technical direction, and show calling, with stages, press risers, and seating out of the same shop.
Federal lawns, historic halls, and hotel ballrooms each come with their own rules. The DC crew builds inside all three, on one layout, with one team from the first site walk to load-out.
Line array and distributed audio, LED walls and IMAG, camera packages and switching, and lighting balanced for the camera and the room.
Show calling, stage management, coordinated wireless and comms, and livestream, run by one voice on headset.
Mobile stages and custom decks for rallies on the Mall, programs in historic halls, and general sessions in hotel ballrooms.
Head-on and cut risers in tiers, with isolated camera positions, so the press corps gets its shot from more than one angle.
Bleachers, grandstands, and audience risers, with VIP and ADA positions drawn in from the first layout.

The DC crew covers the District, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. PM1 has built stages, press risers, and audience fields on the National Mall for rallies, concerts, and exhibits, including the March for Israel, Unite for America, and the poppy wall exhibit platform.
Indoors, the crew has worked the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium for the NATO 70th anniversary ministerial, the Waldorf Astoria for the Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum, and hotel ballrooms and rooftops across the city. When a program needs more than one shop holds, Detroit and Orlando load trucks too.

A build in DC runs on rules that don't exist anywhere else. The Mall is federal parkland, so turf protection goes down before the first deck, and the site goes back to the Park Service the next day. Historic halls have protected floors and no penetrations, so every structure foot sits on a pad. Security sweeps land mid-day, and the build plans around them. And every program draws a press corps that needs a clean shot. PM1 draws all of it into the plan before load-in.
