3 Tips To Keep Your Next Event Under Budget

Whether you're new to event planning or a seasoned pro and you're planning a corporate event or a backyard bash--keeping an event under budget is always challenging. At PM1, we're dedicated to keeping your costs in check and offering affordable rental solutions for all types of events.Because we know that budgeting is easier said than done, we've put together some #protips that can help make your concept a reality, without breaking the bank.

  1. Plan accordingly.Sounds pretty simple right? But do you know how many people you can seat with audience risers in a 10,000 sq ft banquet hall or how many pieces of barricade you'd need for a 5 mile parade? Our CAD department will keep you from ordering more than you need by providing renderings detailing what type and how much inventory you'll need as well as whether or not it will fit in your event space and what that will look like.
  2. Lower labor costs. High labor costs can crush your profit, if you've got your own labor crew or better yet, volunteers, you can save a huge chunk of change.This isn't always an option and you have to keep in mind that "you get what you pay for," but if at all possible-- try to source your own labor. Most events require a site supervisor and additional labor is only used to help load/unload or setup, but can cost hundreds of dollars a day. So be sure to take advantage of any helping hands (or muscles) you may have available.
  3. Pick up. Most people don't know this, but we do have certain packages/ inventory items that are available for pickup and have easy installation requirements that we provide directions for. Opting to pick up and return your rentals is a great way to avoid delivery fees.
